  • Ethnic studies are racist and create divide among races. They should be eliminated.

  • Of course Dems, who love illegals but want the same illegals out of Liberal Heaven Massachusetts, support ethnic studies.  They want to continue to tell minorities how discriminated they are, so they get their votes.  Then they shaft them and do their best to keep those same minorities dependent on the Democratic party.

Democrats prefer to crush self-sufficiency and create a nanny state.

  • I think it's freaking insane, the AZ government is taking a huge step back. They do not promote any type of racism, have you taken any ethnic class? Plus I know that those classes can be taken by anyone! Not just "ethnic" students.

  • Ironic a white governor signs a bill targeting ethnic studies because the study curriculum is not inclusive , yet American history only embraces the white mans ideology of pilgrimage , the emancipation of slaves and the civil war , the pillage of the natives and Mexicans are shrouded in silence so why shouldn't another ethnic group learn its own history even if it vilifies its oppressors

  • You act like AZ is some horrible place, passing terrible laws, but here is the REALITY. Obama won't help illegals and the Democrats want MORE regulation of illegal immigrants, not less.

In 2009, the Obama administration deported 5 percent more illegal immigrants than the Bush administration deported in 2008. As part of his immigration reform proposal, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, a Democrat, is pushing for a national ID card for all American workers -- the very type of documentation that critics of the Arizona law have said will turn Arizona into the "Your papers, please" state.

The Democrats in our Federal Government are the one's acting like Nazis, not AZ.

  • Those classes are NOT open to everyone, just to everyone of hispanic or native American lineage. They promote racism, so I have no problem with these kind of classes being prohibited. The kids will still learn history, just not a completely hispanic history that teaches them how to repossess their stolen homeland, by whatever means necessary.

Brewer for Pres!!!! I'd vote for her, she is showing more common sense than almost anyone else in politics!

  • I remember UC Berkeley (liberal love everybody land) cut Ethnic studies back when I was a freshmen there in 1999.

  • I have seen some very angry Hispanics making serious demands of our hospitality on the news, saying that they have every right to celebrate their country, okay, then go home and celebrate, why are they here? I don't understand; I have no problem with legal immigration but many of the illegals are not here to become productive citizens, they are here to make money and go back. And if companies, contractors, etc. would not hire them and take advantage of them, much of this problem would no longer exist, so imo the ones who hire them knowing that they are illegal are even more guilty of committing a crime against the United States because they are promoting slavery...
