did anyone have complications with their fist pregnancy that ended up in c section and tried a VBAC for the second and succeeded?

  • My sister in law did. Her first baby had a VERY short umbilical cord and could not be born vaginally. Of course they didn't know until she had labored for 8 hours and pushed for 30 minutes. Anyway, he was born by csection. Then 3 years later she had a completely natural vaginal birth.

  • Yes, it is very common actually. You should try joining Natural Pregnancy and Childbirth or another VBAC group here. They have tons of resources, and women who have chosen VBAC the second, third, etc. time around. :)
