Do progestin-only birth control pills (the mini pill) need to be taken in synchronization with your period?

my doc said start them in the morning & didn't bother mentioning anything about my period.

  • no because they have no placebo pills, it's a constant amount of hormone everyday, weather you're on your period or not.

  • I think you can take them right away. It seems like that's what I did, but that was several years ago.
