oil stain in concrete driveway

does anyone have tips on getting a oil stain out of a concrete driveway? I heard to put baking soda on top to absorb and then sweep and then scrub with detergent, and repeat with detergent. Any other suggestions please!!!

  • Hubby says your best bet is to buy something at an Auto part store that is specially formulated for that, which they do have.

  • Pressure wash the driveway or there is a special cleaner for oil stains that most auto stores carry.

  • you can buy some muriatic acid or citric acid to dilute and pour on the stain. You could probably get the stain up for about 5 bucks if you get these at a hardware store or ask around, someone close to you may have some muriatic acid in thier garage, it's used for alot of home related things. Read the directions carefully

  • i have read that you can pour dry cement over it and sweep it up, like the baking soda you described.
