  • At bedtime, feed him some cereal along with his formula, change his diaper and snuggle him into his bed. Turn out the light and he should have a good night's sleep on a full tummy. A lot of babies do get hungry and their formula does not satisfy them for a night's sleep. make sure he does a lot of activity in the day because otherwise he wont be as tired.make sure he rests before putting him down like read to him, turn on soothing music, etc..

  • The AAP does not recommend adding cereal to a bottle to help a baby to sleep through the night. If your baby is sleeping 5-6 hour stretches and THEN waking to eat, she IS sleeping through the night and only time will help. In the meantime, develop and stick to a bedtime routine, decrease all activity in the hour before bed, keep the room at a nice, cool temperature, and use a white noise machine, such as a fan or other sound device to drown out ambient noise.

  • The amount of food you give your baby will not change how your baby sleeps. If hes napping well during the day, by well I mean 2 naps at an hour each, then night time should come easy. Some babies wake up once at night. A baby will NOT wake himself up because he is hungry, a babies brain simply doesn't function that way. My son was "sleep trained" at 4 months, sleeping through the night I mean. Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby... this book was my bible. I bought 3 copies and gave them away as baby shower gifts. But really, cereal doesn't do anything at all buy the book.
