Has anyone tried Tabata?

Its a workout routine that you go 20 seconds on, (as hard and fast as you can) and 10 seconds at a slower pace then 20 seconds on, it keeps going that way for 4(?) minutes...
Any insight to this would help! Thanks!

  • Someone recommended this to me recently, though I haven't tried it out, since I've currently got a routine I'm happy with. The idea of getting your heart rate up high, then bringing it down and then up again is an excellent way of building Cardio endurance. I don't know enough about the length of time, but traditional recommendations say 30 min of exercise daily.
