How long does it take for sunburn to stop hurting?

  • Try milk, it's very soothing. Soak a cotton ball and pat on affected area, repeat as needed.

  • Take a vinegar bath. It helps.

  • The length of time it will take to become less painful depends greatly on the severity of the burn. I agree with the vinegar bath...burns like the dickens when you are taking it, but removes 99% of the burn and pain afterward.

  • Instead of smelling like vinegar- get some aloe vera gel. (not lotion)

  • aloe vera is great but after awhile it stops the cool effect I would take the bath first then put on the aloe.
