period (tmi)

does it mean anything when a period is really clotty? I was in the shower and actually felt (and saw) one come out! I always have some really small clots but this period and a few over the last few years have been really clotty? thanks mamas

  • Nope it doesn't really mean anything, just that instead of your lining shedding in fine clots that you don't normally see, it's coming out in bigger chunks.

  • No clotting is normal. I have alot of clots because my period is so irregular. But my mother is a labor and delivery nurse and she told me if you're having clots bigger then a fist then something is not right. Check with your doctor to be sure.
