Do you sometimes refer to your SO as your husband even though he isn't?

I admit it, I have as a of late because we are getting married in about 3.5 weeks. Has anyone else done this or did you wait until the date you are actually married to call him your husband?

  • I do sometimes. I feel like we are married so it just comes out I guess. We're not even engaged yet.

  • I waited to use this title till we where married. I have a co-worker though, who refers to her live in bf of many years as her husband. Congrats and good luck!

  • We have been married for a year and I still call him my bf lol.
    Old habits die hard.
When we were engaged I introduced him as bf or fiance.

  • OP here

I find it in good practice to call him your husband when it's only a couple weeks away. You married women may know how stressful the time before your wedding. So by calling him my husband helps me to focus on the fact that I getting married, not just planning a wedding. It also helps me remember there will be a life after the wedding that is way more important than what happens on that date.
