  • We named dd Kyla and all I've ever heard is "wow! That's a very pretty name!! Where did you hear it?" Truth is, I didn't like the name Kyli (knew a girl when I was younger named Kyli and she used to pick on me), I loved Kiara until I met an older lady with that name and it just kind of went blah to me after that... DH wanted Neveah but I said I didn't like that and just said "what about Kyla?" We both loved it right then, I was 13 weeks along! Also, I've met one person with a dd named Kyla so it's not overused!

  • Our daughter is Aeneva and we call her Neva. We get compliments on it all the time. I read it in a romance novel as a teen and loved it (Savage Fury). Never thought DH would go for it though.

  • OP HERE:
I really like Kyla! What is her middle name? If you dont mind me asking.

I was actually just looking at the K list on a naming web site.

My dh name starts with K so I was sort of leaning towards K :)

OH and my dh grandmothers name is Eve...he likes that one a lot :)

  • My daughters name is Quinn. It's funny it never occurred to me that it was a predominately male name. When I tell people her name is Quinn, I always get this look of surprise and how pretty it is for a girl. Her middle name is Cameron also predominately Male! Oops. I gave her a boy name... oh well, she's to pretty to make any mistake, she IS a girl.
