Why does my DD grind her teeth in her sleep?

She's six and grinds her teeth. Does your child grind their teeth? Anyone ever had an explaination as to why kids do this?

  • Our whole family does it...............no explaination.
Don't think there is one...other than, in some cases, it's hereditary.

  • My son did at that age and he had headaches as well. I took him to the Orthodontist who said his jaw was not aligned right and that was why he was clenching and grinding. He doesn't do it anymore (and no more headaches) now that his jaw is in the right place.
