TMI tampon insertion question

When I put my tampon in, I got a sharp pain in my cervix area. It brought me to my knees. Then, after a minute, the pain was gone. Has anyone ever had this happen?

I wanted to take the tampon out, but i know that removing a tampon too soon can be dangerous.

  • Why is removing a tampon too soon dangerous?
As for the question.. maybe you hit your cervix at an odd angle or something? Not sure. GL

  • Traditional tampons cause me pain, too, so I use OB tampons.  They are cute and so discreet that you can carry one to the restroom in your fist and no one knows what you're fixing to do.  =)  And they even have a cute carrying case now too.

Also, taking a tampon out too soon being dangerous sounds like an urban myth to me.
