Have you seen these interesting numbers?

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29

Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

  • OP--while I'm aware that this is a hoax chain-mail, the truth is, this country is NOT fairing well under Obama's leadership--in fact you could say it's FAILING....big time...and it's going to get MUCH worse before it gets better! He's had PLENTY of time to do the right things, yet he CONTINUES to make wring decisions, that only help his special interest groups!

However, there are USUALLY "nuggets of truth" embedded within such messages! Unfortunately when it looks bad for libs, they want to have accurate and specific facts, they want unbiased sources, and they'll argue and split hairs over the most ridiculous points--like spelling, grammar, an "extra zero" here and there, etc. (so they can derail the thread). But when things look good for them, they can run on pure emotion, conjecture, and subjective "facts," and there is no need to provide supporting sources!

  • If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

  • all government is corrupt. obama, mccain, it doesnt matter who won, the same lobbyists and big business are behind every politician trying to get their way by buying our "political leaders". people let themselves be bought, and until someone comes along who doesnt, it will never change. it is too late for america, and it is so sad. everything looks great on paper, but put an actual human in the mix, and it becomes corrupt. even communism looks great on paper, you should look it up, lol. all of our citizens who realize this need to come together and stop bitching about it, and do something. we need a new leader to combat this unacceptable way of government. the more i see whats goin on, the more i realize every conpiracy has truth to it. the government wants us to be dependant, so we cant fight, dont you see? the next thing will be to take away our right to bear arms. look at what has happened in australia since they took guns

  • guns away froom the law abiding people. the next thing to go will be our freedom of speech. when that happens, well, god help us is all i can say. this country, as well as the rest of the world is falling apart. it makes me wonder why i even want to bring kids into this world. maybe i have some hope left in me and i feel the next generation will fight the wrongs being done to us all. george carlin had it very correct when he said, "we dont have a bill of rights, we have a bill of temporary priveledges. if you dont believe me, ask any japanese american who wa alive during world war 2". and its the truth. doesnt matter who is in charge, and our votes dont really count. the elctoral college is supposed to vote the way the majority in the stae votes, but they dont have to. that tells you right there our votes are nothing. meant to appease a nation of ignorant people who trust government way too much.

  • I don't know if it's an e-mail hoax or not, but I do know that the first two lines are correct, and I suspect the third line is, also.

Right now, our government is not what what the Founding Fathers intended it to be. We need to clean house and get back to basics, following the tenets of the Constitution, remembering that the government is to serve the people, and that all citizens should have a voice in the government and an opportunity to serve in the government. Term limits should be given to congressmen through an amendment like we did with presidential term limits. And it shouldn't cost a fortune to run a campaign, either.

  • If we send back all the illegals, who will be left to vote for Obama in the next election? I am afraid, the amnesty bill will pass whether the majority of American citizens are against it or not. There is nothing we can do. You better just call rosetta stone now and start brushing up on your Spanish, because pretty soon it will be the new national language.
