When do I make the phone call?

We are good friends, 16 years ago both of us engaged to other people, he tried to kiss me. 16 years later both married, both divorced, both dedicated to our kids, (whom happen to be the same age) we finally kissed. He told me we were meant to be together, He lives 1400 miles away. Obviously we are going to remain friends for a long time. I'll see him again in two weeks, do I call in-between? I don't want to seem needy, I just want to talk. I don't expect him to move here, or me to move there because we both would have custody issues.

  • If you just got off the phone with him 5 minutes ago don't call yet.... that is obsessive lol but if it has been a day or 2 go ahead. You never know he may be asking himself this same question. Unless he asked not to call (which I would be suspicious of) then go for it.

  • Go ahead and call. You're friends and friends call one another.

  • This is why I like emails better. I hate disturbing people but have a lot to say. With emails they can read them at their leisure and process the information and get back with me when they have the time.

  • I texted him yesterday. Saturday night we had been making out on the floor at his mom house. LOL, I know that seems childish for our age. Sunday morning I couldn't find a lip gloss that had been in my pocket all night. So I texted him a simple, "lost my lip gloss" he texted back two minutes later "hmmmm..." We haven't spoke since that. Last time I dated we didn't have email or texting, hell I don't think we had cells. This is all kinda new and awkward for me.

  • If making out is childish, then I am a 50 year old child!

  • LOL...OK...it just felt childish at his mom's house. I've know him forever and am very close to his parents. Thank goodness they are heavy sleepers.
