is it safe to use sunblock and bug spray together on kids?

and which should be applied first? i read an article saying that the stuff they sell already combined is really bad for you b/c it makes your skin absorb the deet too fast. but it doesnt say anything about using the individual products together. if that makes any sense.

  • Avon sells a spray that is all in one. I have used it every year. It's called Skin so soft 2 in 1 Expedition SPF 30 and sells for $14 for 4 oz.

  • The reason the all in ones are bad is because sunscreen needs to be reapplied often and you are not supposed to continually reapply bug spray. So you shouldn't use the all in one sprays. But it is safe to use both. I would do sunscreen first then bug spray.

  • Get Bullfrog, its sunscreen and bug spray in one, it works really well.
