How do I make that white sauce for chicken enchiladas?

Or, if there is one to buy, let me know.

Also, I'm a really bad cook, so please don't use too many foodie words. Thanks.

  • Are you talking about "suiza"? If so -

    (1) 12 oz carton of sour cream, (1) 12 oz chicken broth, 1 TBS of butter, pinch of cumin, 1/4 tsp of garlic powder. 1/2 tsp salt to taste.

    Bring to a boil. Slowly add 4 or 5 TBS of flour that has been dissolved in cold water and whisk until desired consistency.

  • Yes, but what goes with the cheese? I have cheese, but there has to be something else so they don't get all dried out.

  • Make a roux (look it up to get the right proportions for the amount you're making), add cumin, use 2/3 chicken broth and 1/3 milk to make the body of the sauce.
