  • Vinegar is great....make a 1/2 water 1/2 vinegar solution in a cheap water bottle and spray the spots. Also most pets areas in big box stores carry enzyme killing products that work.

Vinegar is a great deodorizer. You can place a dish of vinegar out in a room to absorb odors, leave it out overnight and the vinegar smell will dissipate quickly.

  • Bissell has just put out some great pet products including one called "ewwwww." I'm not kidding, that's the name! And it works well and smells fine. Petsmart carries it.

Vinegar probably would work too...but vinegar is also kinda stinky.

  • Vinegar/Water solution (1/2 and 1/2) then soak that up and sprinkle baking powder over it then dab with hydrogen peroxide.

  • Lol, I love all these lame home remedies that eventually ruin the carpet. by the way, since urine doesnt stay on top of the carpet, but goes down to the back and the cushion underneath, you can expect it to smell anyway, even if you use one of these crazy concoctions suggested here. Bottom line ladies is dont let your animals pee on your carpet.
