Outside of the Bible, Torah or Qur’an?

  • Going just by the original question and not adding in new things - wow way to get off course ladies!

I just saw a story online about the 50 best selling books of all time the Bible was #1 @ 2.5-6 billion copies sold and the Qur'an was #5 with 200 million copies sold. The Torah actually wasn't on the list; but The Book of Mormon was @ #9 with 50 million copies sold.

I guess what I'm saying is I'd read the Qur'an if I had to choose another religious text after the Bible; just to know what so many others are reading.

  • It's not off-course at all from the way you set up the question.

Since I feel there is much better fiction out there than the religious texts listed, none of those would be on my list to start with. But I would probably never be able to narrow myself down to one book. Talk about a Sophie's Choice situation. Ow!
