High blood pressure while pregnant?

Even since my son was born, I've had high blood pressure. My OB told me what medication to take so it would be safe if I got pregnant again. Well now I am. But I just looked up the medication and it said it's not the #1 choice. If you took meds for high blood pressure during pregnancy what did you take? I'm on Labetalol.

  • I have also had HBP since my 1st child was born and I am currently 34 weeks pregnant (YEAH)with my second and throughout this pregnancy I have been taking Methyldopa(not sure what the non generic name is) but it seems to keep my BP pretty well maintained we have had to adjust it a few times throughout this pregnancy. Congratulations on your pregnancy and if you have any other questions leave me chatter or a PM. :)
