  • Find an area that you can put stuff that you are getting rid of. get boxes together and start one room at a time. Pack up stuff you dont need before the move and thrw stuff in garage sale boxes. Label all boxes!!

  • Get some boxes. Mark some "Keep", some "yard sale". Then get large trash bags for garbage, and soft stuff like bedding, towels, pillows, etc, that you want to keep. I use white bags so I can mark on the outside what it is (yard sale, Trash, etc)

pick one room and work there until it is done. If you haven't used something in 6 months (or more) it should go straightto the yard sale box. Pack everything in that room that you want to keep and mark the boxes so you know what is in each box. Pack everything that you don't absolutely need before your move. Stack all your keep boxes in one corner and then move to your next room.

Good Luck!! Packing is the pits!!

  • Organize!! It's good to go through room by room and sort through things to figure out what you are getting rid of. Then have the yard sale, and then figure out what you have left to pack! Good luck!

  • SORT as you pack!!! Things you want & have to use until you leave, things you want & can pack now, stuff you don't want and want to try to sell or donate & of course you have an NOT SURE pile....put that aside for a day and go back to it & see if you really want or don't want it. GOOD LUCK!!! Better to go thru everything NOW than to take it with you to the next place.
