A dry diaper after 8 hours of sleep? She is 8 months

My 8 month old has been sick. She had a high temp on Saturday it was down by Monday. She has been sooooo fussie for about four days. This morning she woke up with a dry diaper. She had a UTI when she was four months old. I am just wondering if I am being paranoid. She has been teething but two weeks of being a grump is a little much.

  • She could be a little dehydrated. I would give her some pedialyte or gatorade.

  • Be sure to keep her hydrated and count total wet diapers in 24 hours. She should have 6 wets. (You may want to check her more often than usual and change even a slightly wet one so that you know). If not, talk to her doc. But my second daughter started doing this a lot.. i was pretty worried because she was nursing like crazy while doing it, so I was worried I wasn't making enough milk... All turned out fine. She just ended up having a champion bladder, and started potty training (and waking up dry almost every morning and after long naps) at 17 months.
