  • easy way is to get the pre made crescent roll dough like pillsbarry or any of those and wrap the little smokies in them. put on a cookie sheet and cook as directed on the package but check them like 10 mins early!

  • Oh I haven't had piggies in a blanket in SO long!!! Thanks for the reminder, I'll be making these in the next few days :)

  • What you are wanting to make is just a smokie rolled in a crescent. A true pig-in-a-blanket is Dutch cuisine, using a special meat & spice blend and wrapped in a hand-made pastry. They are to die for.

  • do i just wrap them or do i cook the smokies before?can i use grands layers buiscuits? how many layers do i put on them?

  • Smokies are already cooked. They're a heat & eat convenience food. Don't seperate the layers - roll the Grands out thinner, cut in quarters, and wrap. Bake at the temp the package says, just watch them close for when the biscuit is done - make sure they're good & done or the insides will be slimy.
