Since Los Angeles is boycotting AZ businesses, why aren't they turning out their lights?

Considering LA gets much of their electricity from AZ, it seems that this is more about drive by political activists than anything else.

  • There is now a move on to boycott the boycotters. I think it's all a bit ridiculous. The two largest businesses said right away that they couldn't afford to go along with the boycott (LAX and the port authority). Several hotels in LA have contacted the city because they have had people from AZ cancel and they are worried. Sorry, but this goes both ways.

CA is broke partially because it has funded and supported so many illegals. AZ has a right ~ and imo a duty ~ to NOT do the same. The gov't. has a duty to see to the interests and well being of it's citizens. For years politicians have been more interested in catering to the lobbyists who make good money on the slave wages of illegals. The bottom line is we can't afford to do so any longer. We can't even afford to take care of our own ~ and that doesn't apply just to CA. IL is in the same situation and other states are close. The free ride is over.

  • As has already been pointed out, LA is very inconsistent. The idea of a boycott is plain silly. They don't bring this kind of change.

  • Let me guess.... They thought no one would ever find that out? Personally, I think Arizona should turn out their lights.

  • They are just trying to get attention. CA has the same law in place it just isn't enforced.

  • Why would CA do that? I support the act. How else are we ever gonna get control of the illegals in this country...?

  • LA is stupid. Yep, they want their lights on. I wonder if what they would do if AZ decided to retaliate and cut their power. Amusing thought.
