My son is 10 months old and sits up, and is starting to pull himself up. But he is not crawling or walking. I have three other friends whos babies range from 8-10 months, and all their babies are crawling and standing, etc. Im just worried, because he seems to be the last to do everything

  • Every baby is different. Milestones happen in an age range, not a specific age. All you can do is encourage by lots and lots of floor time which give opportunities to explore and limit or eliminate time in baby containers.

  • Don't worry at all. Some babies skip crawling all together and go straight to pulling themselves up and walking. My 9 month old just started crawling on his hands and knees and pulls himself up on everything. I think he'll be walking soon. All babies develop at different rates.

  • that sounds normal to me. some babies skip crawling all together. just work with him and encourage him a lot. he will do things when he is ready.

  • No biggie. They all do things in their own time. My nine month old doesn't crawl, or stand yet. She does semi crawl, but she doesn't lift her tummy. Just pulls with her elbows and pushes with her knees. My first never crawled, but walked 4 days after his birthday.

  • Well I can tell you that all babies ARE in fact different. My daughter is 8 months old and doesn't roll, crawl, sit without support. But there is NOTHING wrong with her! She is just very vocal, when children are interested in something else besides motor skills, then they will put forth more effort into that area! Don't worry, he will start doing things at his own pace!! Believe me your going to wish that he wasn't mobile!! lol
