  • Past time for Specter to retire anyway. We still have a few weeks before our election here. But the only race I'm truly concerned about is for our local District Attorney. The incumbent is frankly a grandstander. It makes for great media but not much else. The gubernatorial race here in CA is a done deal as far as the primary, the congressional races won't be interesting until November.

  • I was till this morning when I found out he could not keep his zipper up.

The really sad part is Mark Souder and his wife Diane are personal friends.

We were shocked to say the least. Have known him since he was a young boy.

While I have condolences for your friend, Mark Souder, I'm thrilled that my Rep Mark Souder will be a non-issue. Now I only hope Daniels gets it right when he appoints the replacement. No more bible banging hypocrites, get a practical choice in there so Hayhurst can't get his foot in the door.

  • I'm thrilled that Specter is out, but not thrilled that Burns didn't get Murtha's seat and I'm not thrilled that Rohrer didn't win the primaries. It's politics as usual in the liberal state of PA. Why oh why did I move here?

  • It's about time we got rid of that old hot airbag! Yay for the people of PA! A new dawn is coming! We shall overcome!

  • NotPanicking,

Daniels does not pick his replacement, the republicans will have a cacus to choose his replacement.

Right now it looks like Stutsman.

Also, I do not feel sorry for Mark, I feel sorry for his wife and kids.
