  • you know it's not going to hurt to ask the doc tomorrow. It is very common for kids this age to get nosebleeds, esp little ones, once in a while. It often is related to the dryness, heat in the house or allergies (like hayfever) and picking the nose. Sometimes they have their fingers in their noses if they are asleep, due to the congestion. If it stops easily (within 5 minutes) it probably isn't a problem.

  • Can be so many things. Usually, nothing to worry about.

  • my nephew gets them all the time since he was 2. maybe a dry weather room. do you use a humidifier? those put moisture in the air and tend to help alot with nosebleeds

  • You can ask the doctor; it won't hurt any. Like kjrn79 said, if the nosebleeds stop within a few minutes and are easy to stop, and he isn't in distress or anything like that, they are infrequent, etc, they probably aren't anything to worry about. If they last for very long, are hard to stop or start right back again after stopping, are very frequent (more than three a week I'd say), it would definitely be something to be sure to ask the doctor about.
