Looking more muscular / bulky than I would like.

I workout 4-5 times a week. I alternate foing arms / legs and 2 days of just cardio. I saw a pic of myself & did not like what I saw! I use to be lean & tone, now I look more bulky! Don't egt me wrong, I want to be tones but not so bulky / muscular! What am i doing wrong/ How can I get back lean looking?

  • Do more cardio. Also try the leanness lifestyle. It is a great work out program. The body for life program for women is wonderful too.

  • you could try pilates and dance. they lengthen and strengthen, so you are not supposed to get the short bulky muscles.

  • Maybe give yourself some time to get used to a more muscular physic, I think most women are so freaked out by muscle that they don't see themselves realistically, I can almost guarantee you see yourself as much more muscular that you really are! It's VERY hard for most women to get "bulky" without drugs or freak of nature hormones. Maybe spend a little time on and try to get another perspective of women's bodies. I think (and so does DH thank God) women look awesome with as much muscle as they can NATURALLY get, but I know that's not societies norm. Honestly though, I gerontee you aren't as "big" as you think, pics? Here's my pics and I'm trying to gain more muscle, well I was it's on hold now I guess since I'm pregnant again.
I'd love to look like this:
