crocheters...I am in distress about a project

I am making a lion...I am confused about the instructions for the head. what does it mean to sc (single crochet I know...) in end ch2 (prior I had to chain 2 for the bginning of the next row and sc in 1st 4 chains....) sp?? I get it that sp is short for "space", but i'm just confused what all of that means. Basically I beginning of next row I chain 2, sc in next 4 chains, then it says to 3 sc in end ch 2 sp. I'm confuuuuuuuused what that means.

  • is it worded as:

beg nxt row ch 2, sc nxt 4 ch, 3 sc in and, ch 2 ???
if that is the case, the sp, would be how you begin, by skipping the next ch, but it's usu not worded that way... If you would, post the exact instructions, and I'll interpret it for you. I mean no offense, but it's easier looking at the pattern instructions thn trying to interpret what someone says. :)
