  • Dogs need shade. And a lot of water. If possible bring them in the house.

  • Coolaroo dog beds, shade, kiddy pool for them, they also sell an attachment for the hose faucet so that they can get fresh cool whatever whenever they are outside (we got ours at Petsmart, and you can teach them to lick it by putting some peanut butter on it). Don't exercise them during the hottest parts of the day. And obviously bringing them in if you have AC.

  • I bought them their own pool and make them doggie popsicle's for a treat. They make a mold you can fill with water & freeze in the shape of a large dog bone.

  • Shade and putting ice in the water. My dog loves being outside. But he hate the kiddy pool/ her just wont go near it. But he's fine with shade and ice in his water it a good thing he's a short hair breed dog. for the summers.that helps a little too I guess. :)

  • Our old dog used to take the ice cubes out of his dish and play with them on the kitchen floor, he got wet and the floor got cleaned, kind of, lol.
You can wet them down with the hose and like other's have said plenty of water and less activity during hot times.
