Why is the stock market dropping so much today?

I just saw that the Dow is down a lot today. What's going on?

  • Reports are just in. Unemployment took another big jump upwards, Greece has massive protests, EU isn't looking good. All those add up to worries for investors.

  • There are worries about the European Economy. I just saw an article about it online. It was a headline at AOL. That will explain it,I think.

  • Europe is a mess. And since all the world economies are tied together, what happens in Europe effects us.

  • Lets see, Greece is bankrupt and the rest of Europe is following closely behind. That started it. Todays drop is from the legislation the Senate passed on financial regulation. (looks like it's working great already) We will all be broke in a week so we won't have to worry about it. Look at the bright side. Gas is down ...... for now.
