chili recipe

anyone know a good chili recipe or where to find one. this is my frist time making it so i need a easy one. I looked up some but i couldn't fine a good basic chili recipe

  • 2 pkgs williams chilli mix
    2 lbs. ground beef
    3 cans kidney beans
    2 cans diced tomato
    1 large onion chopped
    2 bell peppers chopped very fine
    3 cans whole mushrooms--if you don't like them you can leave it out
    1-4 diced jalapeno peppers,, depending on how hot you like it

    if you get the 85% lean beef you can throw it all in a crock pot and let it go,, if not brown your beef prior and put on stove for about an hour!

  • 1 lb hamburger & 1lb pork sausage OR 2lbs hamburger - brown and drain the fat off. In pot, pour 46oz can of tomato juice, as many chili beans as you like, a jar of salsa, the meat, and as much black pepper and chili powder as you like. Let simmer til thick. Serve. You can also put it in the crock pot and cook all day. Much easier. This is my kids favorite.

  • Best Chili Ever – you can use any bean; 1 can = 1/5 cups home cooked
    2 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
    4 cups vegetable broth
    1 (15-oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
    1 (15-oz) can white (cannellini) beans, rinsed and drained
    1 (15-oz) can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 cup frozen baby lima beans or regular lima beans or corn
    1 cup chopped onion
    1/2 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 can tomato paste
    2 tsp chili powder, or more to taste
    2 tsp dried Mexican oregano or regular oregano (or more to taste)
    2 tsp ground cumin (or more to taste)
    1 tsp ground coriander (or more to taste)
    1 to 2 tsp cayenne pepper
    1-2 Tbl masa, mixed with cold water
    1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
    1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
    Salt to taste (I add this last)

  • If you don’t have a slowcooker, this can simmer on the stove; stir and add liquid as needed. In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients but the masa, shredded cheese, cilantro and salt. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. Five to 10 minutes before serving (depending on temperature of slow cooker) add masa and water mixture, cover and cook for about 15 minutes. Season, to taste, with salt and other spices.
    Just before serving, top each serving with shredded cheese and cilantro

    I also serve with whole wheat pasta or brown rice, and cubed avocado.

  • This is a "mock" recipe of Wendy's Chili, it's VERY easy and VERY good!!

    2 pounds Ground beef
    1 can (29 ounce size) tomato sauce
    1 can (29 ounce size) kidney beans w/liquid
    1 can (29 ounce size) pinto beans w/liquid
    1 medium Onion, diced
    2 Green chili, diced
    1 Rib celery, diced
    3 medium Tomatoes, chopped
    2 teaspoons Cumin powder
    3 tablespoons Chili powder
    1 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
    2 teaspoons Salt
    2 cups Water


    Brown the beef and drain the fat off. Crumble the cooked beef into pea size pieces. In a large pot, combine the beef plus the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook stirring every 15 minutes for 2-3 hours
