Which way do u think I should spell Peyton/Peighton, for a girl?

Im having a girl and having a hard time deciding how to spell her name. I dont like Payton because it looks like Payday, and I really dont wants anyone to call her Pay-Pay as a nick name...SO its either Peyton or Peighton

  • lol My sister is named Payton and everyone used to call her pay pay when we were little. She HATED it. I would go with Peyton.

  • Unusual spellings are always a bad idea because the child will go their whole life correcting other people's spelling and pronouciation mistakes. I know this from experience. I have an uncommon name.

  • Peyton. It's the correct spelling of the name, and that way your girl will have at least a few people in her life she doesn't have to spell her name for. Invented spelling is not fun for the owner of the name, after the 53rd time of correcting it for the same friend, boss, acquaintance or inlaw. Or, in my niece's case: dumb grandparents.
