Dog cold? What can I do to help?

Is there any way I can help my babygirls cold before taking her to the vet ?

If this helps any, shes a small dog, she weighs about 10 lbs.
Shes only a year and a half old, and eats cat food :(
We just got her 3 days ago, and she apparently got her cold from the rescue shelter
[Her previous owner tried getting her adopted out by the shelter and they called for her to pick her back up)
She has a sneeze, with some snot, and she seems to have lost her appetite, so any help would be great . Thanks :)

  • OP

No we didnt get her from the shelter, her previous owner was trying to get rid of her, and took her there, and since no one adopted her, they called the woman back and said come get her, or shes being put down, so the woman went back and got her, and we ended up with her .

But I am thinking about calling her In the morning to talk to her about this.

  • Take her to the vet. Dogs don't get colds. It could be serious.

  • She probably has kennel cough. She will need meds from the vet, but for now you can turn the shower on hot and the humidity will help.
