  • I think if you could find a way to put together a photo album for her, find some of the oldest pictures you can, and build a timeline for her... from children, to grandchildren, greats if she has them... brothers or sisters, neices and nephews...

  • Time...My mom use to work in Elder care and people always give gifts, but what the residents wanted was time with their families. We all get busy and caught up in our own lives and we tend to forget how important it is to spend quality time with our loved ones. Elderly people generally have too much time on their hands and get lonely.
I am sure your grandma would love if you gave her a year of lunches. Where you go and have lunch with her and talk and spend time with her once a week, every week. That is so much more valuable than a thing.

  • thanks for the ideas but she doesn't grocery shop on her own. and she has problems with her feet so pedi is out. i live in another state so i can not go visit on a regular basis. i thinking about a photo album but i have no time for that because i might be going today. i thought of it though. pictures of her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. or just her greatgrand children. she doesn't like cats and she can't take care of a pet. unless its a goldfish. that cat scan comment is not funny and love that whoever wrote it hides behind anoymous. i mean get a life. can't ask anything on here with out the smartass cowards answering.
