How long are my periods going to be out of whack? I've been breastfeeding so I haven't had a period in 10 mos. I started on May !st. and i think I'm having another one. I have cramps and backaches. It's annoying. is it always gong to be like this?

  • Some women's cycles are irregular until they wean, others never change pre and post baby. Give your body some time to adjust to the hormone changes; you may find that you have a longer or shorter cycle than before. My ob told me that I should only worry if I went more than three months with no period after weaning and wasn't pregnant. She said that it is normal for cycles to be very irregular during breastfeeding.
