  • Call your local child support, or family support office. Or if your state has a child support enforcement office, call them.

  • It requires either a court order or the 2 parents going to a lawyer or a notarized paper saying the noncustodial parent will pay x amount on a monthly basis. If the noncustodial parent is not cooperating you will need to go through the court system. However keep in mind having a court order is no guarantee that you will receive the child support.
