How do you solve x to the 0 degree if x=5

I can't remember!

• The answer is 1. Anything to the degree/power of 0 is equal to 1

• Anon is correct! Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponentiation#Exponents_one_and_zero

This leads to the following rule:

• Any number raised to the power 1 is the number itself.

• Any nonzero number raised to the power 0 is 1; one interpretation of these powers is as empty products. The case of 00 is discussed below.
