OK....my neice just had a son. And I have a daughter. We were all wondering how they are related. I think its second cousin. Cause my neice would be Audreys(my daughter) first cousin...so her son his 2nd cousin...correct??

My 18 year old neice has a newborn son.
Im 21 with a 4 month old daughter.
What is my daughter and her sons relation?

  • I don't think that's correct because My child and my cousins child are 2nd cousins. I think they would be 1st cousins once removed. This link might help. Good luck :) http://www.genealogy.com/16_cousn.html

  • first cousins once removed is techincally how it is BUT nowadays most ppl say secound cousins (which isn't techincally correct.) this might help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:CousinTree.svg

Since she is your niece, and she has a son that would make you (her son's) great aunt.
