Impeachable offense?

On NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sestak told host David Gregory that he was offered a job, but still wouldn’t say what that job was. On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Sestak again said an offer had been made, but that was all.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs also appeared on “Face the Nation,” but said only that “nothing inappropriate happened,” according to White House lawyers.

“I’m not going to get further into what the conversations were,” said Gibbs. “People that have looked into them assure me that they weren’t inappropriate in any way.”

Where is the transparency? Why not full disclose what happened? Why the need to be tight lipped? Do you think they are tight lipped because bribery is an impeachable offense?

What does he have to gain from lying?

  • Couldn't tell you. What do most Republicans gain from saying "no" to everything? No one can answer that either. I'm just saying, politicians lie all the time. I'm not saying the White House isn't lying either. He's not going to get impeached if they can't prove that he did it.

Right. And they can't prove anything if they are all tight lipped.

  • True. They may not have anything to be tight lipped about though.

This is why the Obama administration's claim to be transparent is an epic FAIL. You can't respond to questions (like Gibbs, Axelrod, etc are doing) in a tight lipped manner and call yourself TRANSPARENT at the same time. PATHETIC.
