Carnival Game Booth Ideas

Our school will be participating in a street festival. We are going to run a game booth in the kids' section. Kid friendly of course.

Does any one have any good/easy to set up up games we can use?

Any and all ideas are welcome.

  • bean bag toss
ring toss over 2 liter bottles of pop
cupcake walk (like a cake walk, with cupcakes)
face painting (not a game, but the kids love it)
balloon stomp: put pieces of paper with a number on it inside balloons, blow them up. the kids get to pick a balloon and try to break it, when they succeed they give you the paper and you give them a prize that corresponds with the number
Rubber ball toss: toss rubber balls into small baskets...IF they stay in the basket, the kids get a prize.
duck race: use wallpaper trays or kiddie pools with water, put a rubber duck in each tray. Give each kid a squirt gun to "shoot" at their duck to move it to the other end.

  • Lollipop tree: You set up a wood or cardboard "tree" with lots of lollipops on it. This doesn't have to be fancy, just a board with holes in it will work. The lollipops are marked on the stick end with a color that corresponds to a prize or number of tickets the player will win. The player chooses a lollipop and wins that prize, plus gets to keep the lollipop.
Quarter drop: Fill an aquarium with water and decorate the bottom with decorative gravel, rocks, plastic decorations. Place 2 or 3 short glasses in the aquarium. Each player gets 3 quarters and drops them from standing height (aquarium on the floor or a bench) and tries to get a quarter in a glass for a prize (quarters have to be returned to the game booth for the next player)
