One question about ILLEGALs (they're not citizens)..? How many of you..

I notice alot of people are okay with the illegals coming in from whatever country (majority from mexico) and living here and being mostly supported by the government....But How many of you are from a state that is largely impacted by a large population of illegals (i.e. California, Texas, Arizona, Florida)? Are you aware of the impact that it has had on legal citizens, the schools, the economy, etc?

  • No human being is illegal.

So does that mean there are no laws that need to be followed in your Utopian world?! LOL Google what happens to Americans who try to ILLEGALLY move to Mexico. If you think the US is harsh, take a look at what Mexico does to it's illegals! :o)

  • I am from Texas and the impact is definitely there. The schools are full of the children of illegals who can't speak English so more and more money goes to ESL classes even though there is a need for computers and books for the legal students, we are expected to learn Spanish to accomodate them in schools, stores and jobs. In many jobs applicants are told not to apply if they are not bilingual. The result is a lot of people who don't speak that language don't get decent jobs. Rent houses get torn all to hell because they pack a 10 or 15 people in a two bedroom house. I could go on all day.

  • The impact is astronomical. One Mexican moves in and there goes the neighborhood. They might be nice but their whole family isn't and the violence usually follows. Getting your children health care, after school programs or anything else becomes 10xs harder. The violence and crime escalates as they bring Mexico here instead of conforming to American ideas. Here in southern California your children have to be put in private school if you want them to get an education. The smallest class is 36:1 how are kids supposed to learn in that environment? They don't have the budget for extras or even to help them learn effectively and it doesn't help that 2/3 of those kids don't speak English. I'm all for anyone that wants to immigrate to American and become an AMERICAN. Not people that want to come here disgrace our flag, disrespect our nation and force us to become the place they're running from.

  • So what is the excuse in say NY who are bankrupt? Do you know that almost ALL state run parks and museums will be closed this summer in NY? If you are saying those states are having problems because of "illegals" what is your excuse for NY?

  • what is your excuse for NY?
Well NY has 540,000 illegals so guess illegals would be her "excuse". But I guess you figured illegals don't like the north and don't live there?

  • Yes, I am from Florida. No human being is illegal. It's easy to blame the lowly poor for our problems instead of combatting the real roots of our economic and social problems- that is, those who are in power. This is distraction.

  • Actually there are a lot of illegals in New York because it is a sanctualry city. It's not hard for them to migrate once they get here.
