Babies Heart Rate

Today I had my 2nd doctors appointment. I am 10 weeks and 1 day and I got to hear the heartbeat. Yay!!! he doctor said that it was a strong baby because a lot of the times it is hard to hear the heartbeat at this time. I know that it is only a myth, but i was wondering how many of you it was true for. If the heart rate was over 140 your baby is a girl and under it is a boy? My babies heart rate was 162 and I think that SHE is precious already!! Can anyone help?
