What are the reasons that usually lead a toddler to have a tantrum in public?

  • To test you, because you are saying no, they are bored/seeking attention.

    I always try to prevent. I travel with snacks, water and a toy that is only used during shopping, so it seems new.

  • normally if they cant get something they want..........I think that would be the number one reason.

  • For my son usually it's because he wants to get out of the cart or he's overtired because I didn't plan well enough ahead.
