Are you a full-time mom and also a teacher?

This year's been rough because I want to be home with my baby, but we're all on my insurance, so I can't quit.

Sucks....anyone else in the same boat as I?

Just curious.

  • I'm a full-time mom and I work full-time. I'm never not a mom.

I'm not a teacher, OP. There are a lot of working moms that feel like you do. Find some other working moms to talk to for support and advice on how to deal with your feelings.

  • Yup, I'm in the same boat. My daughter has some health problems and I have better pay than my hub and we are all on my insurance, too.

  • I used to be a full time teacher but it got too hard on my girls and now I work part time.Less money, more time with my family though. It's a tough choice to make when you know there will be cause and effect either way.

  • I am a full-time teacher and mom. My DH was unemployed for most of this last school year so I carry the family on my insurance too. He just started working again this past March and within 2 weeks I was pink slipped. Go figure. :o(
