A ?? for moms who dont live in the USA about schooling age.

My MIL told me that in the UK and other places in Europe, kids dont start school until age 7... really? is that true or not. cant seem to find it online. well i am finding a lotta different answers online... in my part of the country children usually begin PreK at age 3-4 and begin Kindergarten at age 5 or 6. thanks to everyone who answers in advance!

  • I don't know about the UK, but here in Canada they don't have to start until they are 6. But generally most kids will start a preschool at 3 or 4 and start Kindergarten at 5.

  • In most of the US children are not required to start school until 6, some states even 7. The starting school at 3, 4, 5 years old is optional.
