How do I make my husband stop spoiling our daughter?

First of all, we are not rich or anything. Secondly, my husband and I adore each other and of course our daughter.
Here's the thing. Hubby always brings presents to our daughter, at least 2 presents a week, even though we are not in a very good financial situation. Also, when she asks for something hubby ALWAYS gives her what she wants. We've talked about it SEVERAL times but he just won't quit doing it. She wants a new doll, she get a new doll. He just can't say no to her. What do I do?

  • I suspect that he feels guilty about something. Have you asked him why he feels obligated to buy her things?

The money would be much better spent going into a college fund.
