How do you start by regaining my life back?

Ok,
1. Move into your own place. That is done.
2. What about the kids? How badly will this affect them?
3. How do I make the transition easier for my kids?
4. Then how do you move forward, make friends, reach out to older friends, how do I start all over?
One day at a time, I know but how do I help myself heal? Just need some advice.

  • 1) good job on geting your own place

    2) affect them by what? moving into a new place? or by making friends? IMO- seeing you with friends will benefit them b/c they will know how to act/make friends as they get older. moving? tell them its a fresh start- its a chance to try new things (even if its just trying out a new dinner or something), make new memories, etc. make it a family ritual to do something- breakfast in mommy's bed every sunday or something. make it fun and exciting and they'll be alright

    3) the transition from moving: get them involved in it. let them chose the color of their bedrooms, their bedroom design, etc. depending on ages.

    4) no idea. i have no friends, at all. never had one my ENTIRE life.

    good luck!
