Did you expect that he would have had a thicker skin?

Obama has issues with criticism.
http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/05/27/obama-the-thin-skinned-president/
The president is constantly complaining about what others are saying about him. He is upset at Fox News, and conservative talk radio, and Republicans, and people carrying unflattering posters of him. He gets upset when his avalanche of faulty facts are challenged, like on health care. He gets upset when he is called on his hypocrisy, on everything from breaking his promise not to hire lobbyists in the White House to broadcasting health care meetings on C-SPAN to not curtailing earmarks to failing in his promises of transparency and bipartisanship.

  • All presidents have had to deal with criticism, and this is the first time I have heard a President complain so much about the criticism.  He had to have full knowledge of what he was going to face, by watching all the stuff that was said about Bush during his whole presidency.  It comes with the job, you gotta to be able to handle the criticism.  Clinton dealt with it, better than Barack.   If you are going to be in the public eye, you are going to have to deal with the criticism.  If you can't handle it get out.

  • Why should you care? Have you ever been treated in this same exact manner? If you have then maybe you would be better able to understand where he is coming from. He is still a human being with a heart. Just because he is president does not mean that he does not hurt just like the rest of us. You sound like a calloused person.

  • He should have been prepared for criticism considering it's the highest profile job in the country (possibly the world). Unfortunately, he is ill prepared for anything considering his lack of experience in all fields. Well, except community organizing, whatever that means. I am sure he used the Saul Alinsky cliff notes version of that as well.

No, but since he's older than 3 he should be expected to behave appropriately.

I have yet to see him lay on the ground, pound his fists, kick his legs while screaming. I'd love to see a link displaying this "inappropriate" behavior.

  • If he didn't stand up for himself you would say he is a wimp. Nothing he does will please people if they didn't vote for him and if they are ....picky.
He is just trying to explain and clarify issues. Give it a rest.....

Yes. Do you know how many people refuse to visit this forum because of the constant repeat, repeat? Different question, same  complaining, whiny reaction.

Somebody asks a question about childbirth, and of the usuals respond with "Obama doesn't have a valid US birth certificate." The "broken record" moniker was never so fitting.

Well, to be quite frank about it, I haven't noticed too many posts about childbirth on the politics forum....
But, yes, O does seem to be a bit thin-skinned, kind of what you would expect from a moody teen going through hormone changes.

  • Anon :35 , you are right. It gets so one-sided here. They snark and bash all the time. ANd just now he was described as a "moody teen" ? Huh? That was really silly. Most all the replies are silly but they think they are experts on everything...government,politics, welfare,CPS accusations, the whole nine yards. ....sigh....
