What are some high calorie and high fat foods that are also healthy?

  • avocado, nut butters (peanut, but more so almond or hazelnut butter), also cook foods in olive oil. It adds calories but all of these things have the healthy fats in them. That's all I can think of so far! Hope that helps.

  • My 4 year old is on a high calorie diet... peanute butter is great (he is allergic so we use nut butter) He also gets pediasure (he is up to 3 a day but im sure you son wouldn't need that much). When he was younger we would give him 1 before bed to help him gain and keep weight on. Avocado is another great one. We still have him on whole milk also.

  • Avocado, peanut butter, cooking in olive oil and even mixing it into foods that it mixes into. Plenty of fruits & veggies to offset but lots of carbs - potatoes, sweet potatoes, whole grain cereals/pastas, hard cheeses.

  • I don't know if it's high calorie (off hand) but black olives are high fat. My kids love them.
