My son is 8 years old and wont stop breast feeding. How do I ween him?

I wanted him to self ween but he never did and now he's 8! He even wants me to show up at lunch time at school so he can feed. It's ridiculous
When he wants milk he comes up to me and say "tit time"
I don't even know where he heard this from. We certainly don't say that around our house. We are Christians.

  • I had the SAME problem. I finally introduced him to chocolate milk. Every time he asked to nurse, I offered him a cup of chocolate milk. It worked great! He's almost 9 years old and hasn't nursed in a few months!!!!!!

  • W/ the help of the school counselor, make him go cold turkey. It's the only way. Spend special snuggle time, library time, etc. I think at 8 y/o all that sucking might hurt his teeth. get him to a pediatric dentist.
